Individual income tax brackets
One blended schedule for all filers: thresholds are averaged between the single and married schedules, weighted by each group's share of actual tax returns, and applied to the latest IRS income distribution (2023), scaled to FY2025 receipts. A simplified upper bound — real-world effective rates were far lower than statutory rates, especially before 1986.
